I’ll give a talk for Mizzou’s Canada Days (March 6 to 10) on Tuesday, March 7, from noon to 1pm in Memorial Union N206. The topic: “The Canadian style of governing.” More details on Canada Days here.
I gave a presentation at New York BK21 Conference organized by the Graduate School of Public Administration of Seoul National University in New York City on Saturday January 14. The title was “Statecrafting: A new approach to public administration.” Powerpoints available here. Listen to audio here.

I gave two talks at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs on December 6 and 7. My first talk was about Four Crises of American Democracy, at the Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership at 4:30pm on December 6. Details here | Watch this talk on YouTube. On December 7, I talked about “A new approach to Public Administration.” The December 7 talk drew on this paper.

I participated in a panel discussion on the future of access to information at the Canadian Bar Association’s Access to Information and Privacy Law Symposium in Ottawa on October 28. The program is here. The panel included Michel Drapeau, Murray Rankin MP, and David Loukidelis.
I visited the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) in Mexico City on October 20-21 to participate in events marking the 40th anniversary of their Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration. Details here. I participated in a panel on October 20 that examined the question: Does ‘Public Management studies’ have a future? A recording of my brief comments can be heard here.
I gave a talk at the University of Kansas’ School of Public Affairs and Administration on October 13. Listen to the talk here.
